Profile: John and Jane Sines School Advisory Board

John A. Sines, Sr. known to friends and family as Al.
Al attended public school until College. Graduated from Columbia Union College with major in biology and minor in chemistry receiving a BA degree. Graduated from Howard University School of Dentistry 1964 with a D.D.S. degree. His passion is to love his Lord with all of his heart and be of service to mankind. He has served the Seventh-day Adventist church in many ways: Southern Union ASI President; General Vice-President of National ASI; President of Professional Business Association of Georgia-Cumberland Conference; past board member of Hartland, Greater Collegedale School System; at present board member of Executive Committee of GCC and Adventist World Radio. Dr. Sines has planted churches in Maryland and Tennessee. Presently is lay pastor for the Benton SDA church; operates a radio station and Lifestyle Center, and practices dentistry in Polk County. However, his dental office is his main pulpit.

Lynora Jane Sines known to friends and family as Jane.
Jane attended public school until her senior year in high school. Graduated from Takoma Academy in Maryland. She received a BS, RN degree from Columbia Union College. Both Al and Jane received Masters in Public Health from Loma Linda University in 1982.
Jane is a board member of It Is Written and ASI Missions, Inc.

Prior to coming to Collegedale, Tennessee in 1973 they served the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Libya, Cyprus and Tanzania for six years. They have been involved in building or refurbishing churches in Cuba, Papua New Guinea, Dominican Republic and India. They are supporting members of the Southern Adventist University Committee of One Hundred, Cohutta Associates, Professional and Business Association, Loma Linda University Councilors and Adventist Health International.

They have four children (all educated from first grade thru University level in the SDA school system, one graduate of LLU Dental School) and 16 grandchildren.

Christian Education is an investment with eternal dividends.
