Profile: Kari Montague Lead Teacher

Firstly, I want to acknowledge that I am a Christian who loves Jesus. I have always enjoyed working with children and I am very interested in following the principles of education as written in the Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy.
I graduated from La Sierra University with a B.S. degree in Health and also went through the Teachers Preparatory program and obtained an Elementary Education teaching certificate and license. Upon graduation I worked for the Pacific Union Conference as a First and Second Grade teacher. When my husband and I began our family we decided that I would be a stay-at-home mother. We home-schooled our 4 children, which was one of the best decisions we have made. I have always been involved in teaching activities within my church (Cradle roll through Young Adult, Pathfinders, VBS, etc.).
I also taught grades 1-4 and 5-8 for Weimar Elementary School in Weimar, CA. When our youngest daughter entered college, I began working as a second grade teacher and later as a Reading Interventionist for the Hamilton County Public School system.
